I'm really glad you've found it useful, Lee!

If thinking about playing guitar and practicing all the time is "goofy", then I guess we both must be "goofy" :)

That's right by the way: never give up!

Hey Rob,
I'm writing this mostly for those who might read it and need the encouragement. (Just as I do !!!) I must say that your 3 point practice plan is how I've been practicing for awhile and I have seen improvement. I practice every morning for 1/2 hour before I leave for work. About 15 min of warm up and then 15 min of learning the minor pentatonic scales.(My personal goal right now.) Then in the evenings I'll sit with my guitar for as long as I can and work on strumming chords and trying to incorporate the scales into it,,, seeing what it might sound like if I put this and that together... (Just experimenting and having fun to see if I can come up with something new.) Through this I've gone from not being able to play anything except a couple of riffs and a few chords to actually making it sound like music... Well kinda !!! LOL !!! I've gotten to where I carry a pick with me everywhere I go and practice holding it and strumming on my leg trying to improve my capability with it. Sounds kinda goofy, but hey, whatever works !!!

Big thing is don't give up !!!
