It sounds like it's just the design of the guitar. Is the bridge so high that it can't go any higher? I think 11's are pretty heavy as strings go, and you would expect the bridge to have to be set higher in order to compensate for the thickness of the strings. Also, this is made worse when you detune (as detuned strings need to be higher to stop fretbuzz).

If it plays fine-with no buzz- and it's not uncomfortable, I would ignore the hight of the bridge.

Also, I responded to this because I feel I can provide more valuable information to anyone that reads this, stop advertising your musical instrument trading company ;)

Hello,i Bought 3 months Ago,Esp Horizon Nt Emg Blk..
It Has a Gotoh Tom Bridge, strings through body...
Anyway
when i've tried this guitar,i've Noticed that The Studs(bridge screws in both sides) were very High
but The Guitar has a Very Good Action
bass side 2 mm
trible side 1.8 mm ..
After 3 weeks later i orderd 011-054 ernie ball strings for drop tunings,i installed em correctly, and adjusted the Trussrod, intonation, and it was mostly the Same action 2mm,and 1.8 too.but the studs were too High
is That Normal,cz it confuses me,and actually i d0nt trust techniquans here..
Btw theres a very very very small buzz at the 14th (D string the 3rd one)
need help cz there's No Good Guitar techniquans in Egypt..

Hey,

You can't always adjust it by measuring it in millimetres. It depends on the guitar. If you're getting fretbuzz, you probably need to take the action a little higher, but every guitar will be different. I tend to have my action around 3 to 4mm at the 12th fret on most of my guitars. You probably don't need to adjust the truss rod.

hi. i found that most people set up the 1st string (on 12th fret) action is 4/64, which means 1.5 mm (am i right?). but i've tried to make it 1.5mm, but causes fret buzzes. so do i need to adjust the trust rod?
