Fingerpicking Part Two
In this lesson we will look closer at the technique known as "fingerpicking" (or sometimes "fingerstyle")with different, more complex patterns.
Now, make sure wher you do these exercises, that your wrist is not bent, and that you hold your hand above the strings so that your palm doesnt have to move for your fingers to reach the strings.

Remember the way the fingers are labeled? In this exercise the fingering goes: thumb, middle finger, first finger, third finger (hence "p m i a"). |

Exercise 1
There are several variations on this theme (as with the picking exercise patterns), so you should try to make up your own ("p i m a", "p m i a", "p m a i"...the list goes on...) and if you even add the little finger, there are even more patterns to play around with!

Make sure you practice each of these exercises to a metronome, and start at a slow speed before you speed them up!
